There's Far More

There are some days you wake up believing with an ease in His promises and goodness. Some days it just seems to fit. And then there are those days where you wake up fighting for every breath, step, and thought. Your bed carries a tempting beckon to it, trying to lure you into giving up today and trying again tomorrow. For the past few weeks ago, that is exactly I felt like happened to me. I woke up feeling as though I couldn’t take much more. Every day’s demands simply felt too much.

In the midst of the storm, I have a decision to make: give up, pack up, crawl back into bed. Or believe for, thank for, remember for some things. The hits felt so close and personal that in response, I decided to cover the wall beside my bed with wonderful thoughts of promises, post-it-notes of thanks, blessings, and gifts, and photos.

Some days I honestly need tangible reminders of the goodness that does exist in the midst of all that is swirling around.

Sometimes finding hope in the pressing season is as simple as remembering that there is far more than meets the eye. There are certain days we need real reminders that there is more moving under the surface than the eye can see in this moment. It is His promise, no matter how it looks around you today.

It is exactly what Jesus was revealing as He showed up healing, delivering, and freeing people. His words and actions carried an invitation to the realm that was higher than the eye could see for those who would respond. And the incredible thing is this…

Our response compels Him to respond back. It’s the beauty of relationship and promise. For those who respond, He can’t help but move, heal, touch, and encounter.
